Bits of a conversation between strangers becoming acquaintances.  by risa

Your sister in law has goats? that’s crazy. i think. maybe it’s not crazy in Atlanta. i used to live with two sailors who would bring home signs late at night when they’d been drinking and swore they’d get a goat to eat all the junk in the back yard. they were american too. maybe americans get goats. anyway, i’m really glad the goats were ok.

Ok, first ever exclusively internet friend- please pick which of the following websites most accurately depicts the jamie allen that is you:

ok, i’ll admit it, i pretty much figured it out. Atlanta, Randa Jarrar and the readings sound awesome. so does your novel- reminds me of Libra. nostalgia, spies, communism. also, i agree with Randa in that interview.
i think superheroes are products of artists dreaming about the cascading effects of their own mild-mannered gestures. how with the heroic release of a little idea you’re saving the world- catching the building right before it falls. or the oil tanker. and that’s why the best ones are always a little bit sad- the superhero’s a mirror reflection of the artist/writer and so they have to be tragically incomplete somehow to parallel the way that writing will never catch the oil tanker before it hits the lake.
