Bits of a conversation between strangers becoming acquaintances. by risa
i’ve laughed really hard about those goats three times already today (when retelling the story). i really want to cuddle and comfort Nanny the fainting goat.
the falls in montreal are, usually, heartbreaking. but in a good way. last year we had a long slow fall, almost summer-hot during the day but with a strange edge in the breeze and downright chilly at night. and when all the maple trees on mountroyal turn the smell is crazy. like, it can make you crazy, sad and exhilarated and nostalgic and like you’ve lost your love or something. do you have fall? what kind of water do you go to, and are your mountains real mountains? (ours aren’t, they’re very old and small and slouchy). do your kids love where you live?
