Bits of a conversation between strangers becoming acquaintances. by risa
very very happy interview. i loved to hear more about the ideas behind the pocket field guide. i loved the writing by Duck and Herring. here’s mine so far:
Fall to do’s
Buy woolly pants.
Take pictures of the tree in the front yard everyday.
Clean my house- mostly, get rid of the spiderwebs.
Do one big walk across the city before it gets too cold.
Leaf pile, leaf fight,
get leaves out of hair and underwear.
Go to the university, feel newly collegiate.
Get a sharp new pencil and a Hilroy notebook:
make a funnier to do list.
Sit on the roof and watch the last of the summer’s fireworks.
Carve a pumpkin this year, c’mon.
Think of a good costume.
Throw out the smelly rotty pumpkin already.
Go to New York.
Have a campfire in the country wearing sweaters.
Figure out what the hell i’m doing with my life.
Get paid for writing.
Put plastic on the windows.
Wait for it to snow.
keep well, i’ll work on the recording.
