Hi there! Yes, this article is by Andrea Langlois. I'm not sure where it was published in print since she just gave me a copy when we were in school together, but I think your citation is probably correct. Thanks for calling this to my attention, I added her name above. Oy! =)

Hello,

I came to this article through a link in
https://docs.indymedia.org/Global/ImcEssayCollection
page.

It states that the author is Andrea Langlois, and the paper is
The Praxis of Open Publishing: Uniting Philosophy with policy and practice (Journal for the Art, Sciences and Technology. vol 02, No 01, 2004)"
Because I'm making a academic research on Indymedia documentaries, kinda need to confirm the authorship (what a drag, I know...).
Can ye help me?

Thanks, merci!

I would welcome a union between Canada and the TCI. The formula for joining confederation should be this. A referendum in TCI that returns 75 percent positive. A referendum in Canada that returns a 50 percent plus 1 vote positive. If these conditions can be met, then I see no reason why TCI can't be made a territory of Canada. If similar conditions can be met in other Caribbean countries, I see no reason why others willing to join the Canadian family would be turned down. Canada already has a substantial population of people from that region of the world anyway, so why not benefit from those countries sunny location, and at the same time invest in bringing those regions up to Canadian standards. In the long run, We all can be winners from such a union. .

In light of the recent election Iran, I hope that you journalists will keep the memory of Stephan Hachemi's mother,Zahra Kazemi alive and fresh in all our minds. Freedom is an elusive and precious dream. I do not live in Montreal but I would hope an artist there will erect a permanent statue of her or ask the city to dedicate a place there in her honour.

I hope that her son will know that many Canadians still care about that freedom, especially how his Mother stood for that for all, women especially. His loss is the same as Canadians who have lost their sons and daughters to all legitimate causes around the world.
Thanks to a woman who did not dwell on the obstacles but had courage to try to overcome them despite the looming dangers. She most definitely made the ultimate sacrifice.
Thank you for your work at Fuse.

What Are we kidding! To be able to fly to a tropical county and not be in the 3rd worlds with all of its restrictions.
In the GTA (toronto) we could absolve the whole population and never notice it.
Oh Yes Everyone speaks English.

What idiots are opposed to this and if they are in any of out governments plkease supply their names so we can have them removed indefinitely.

While I don't think annexation is the way to go. I do believe that T&C should be invited to join Canada. The benefits easily out weigh the cons. I would love to retire there and still be in Canada.
